Quality Control
The Maritime Lumber Bureau is an accredited grading agency with the Canadian Lumber Standards Accreditation Board (CLSAB) and the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC). Our quality control inspection services ensure regulatory compliance of wood products produced at member facilities. This allows for domestic and international market access of our regional wood products.
Certificate of Origin Program
Our Certificate of Origin Program is unique in North America. It provides a comprehensive log-to-lumber, lumber to destination tracking system which ensures accurate traceability and shipment data for wood products entering into the United States. All shipment information pertaining to this program is reconciled with Global Affairs Canada.
Phytosanitary Compliance
Certified by the Canadian Food and Inspection Agency (CFIA), we monitor and ensure the phytosanitary compliance of heat-treated wood products, safeguarding against pests and diseases.
Atlantic WoodWORKS!
Atlantic WoodWORKS! is a non-profit initiative that collaborates with government and industry to promote the use of regionally produced wood in non-residential and multi-family construction, offering technical support and educational events.
